Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS)
Travel and Ground Transport
(Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas, West Indies)
Bahamas Nassau International Airport (NAS) has no public transport infrastructure and visitors wanting passage to the city or other island destinations can choose to travel by taxi or by rental car. For those who aren't on a budget, limousines are available.
Buses
There are no bus services available between NAS and downtown Nassau or any other part of New Providence Island.
Hotel Shuttle
Some of the island's larger hotels may provide shuttle services from the airport to their establishments. Visitors are advised to check with the hotel in question ahead of their arrival at Bahamas Nassau International Airport.
Trains
There are no train services available between Bahamas Nassau International Airport (NAS) and Nassau downtown or any other part of New Providence Island.
Taxi Cabs
For most travellers, taxis provide the only link between the airport and downtown Nassau or other New Providence destinations. Metered taxis are available for hire outside the airport's entrance.
Limousines
There are two limousine companies that are resident at the airport, A Touch of Class and Rich and Famous. Visitors can arrange limousines on arrival at the airport or prior to travel. We recommend the latter option to avoid potential disappointment.
